How far is Mill House from Stonehenge?

Mill House B&B is located 4 miles from Stonehenge, making us one of the closest accommodations to this world-famous monument. There’s a lovely 4-mile walk across the downs from Mill House directly to Stonehenge. Our proximity means you can easily plan your visit at any time of day – perfect for experiencing sunrise or sunset at the stone circle.

Do you provide parking facilities?

Yes, Mill House offers free on-site parking for all guests.

Do you have an Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging point for guests?

We have a Zappi 7kW EV charging point available for guests with electric vehicles. The charging rate is currently 70 pence per kWh. Please let us know when booking if you’ll need to use the charging facility so we can ensure availability.

What size are the beds in your rooms?

We have four double rooms at Mill House. One of these rooms has both a double bed and a single bed, which can be used as a twin room if preferred. All rooms are thoughtfully furnished and offer different views of our beautiful grounds, whether overlooking the meadow, garden, or mill stream.

What’s included in your breakfast?

Our breakfasts feature high-quality ingredients, including eggs from Maran hens,premium green streaky bacon, homemade jams(including marmalade and seasonal jams like plum or quince), local honey, fresh fruits,
and cereals. All breakfasts are served in our pretty dining room. Find out more

How large are your grounds?

Mill House is set within 12 acres of stunning grounds, including water meadows and a wilderness garden. The property features over 200 different species and old-fashioned roses, many climbing into the trees reaching heights of up to 30 feet. Some varieties are repeated throughout the garden, creating a spectacular display during the flowering season.

Are there dining options nearby?

While we don’t serve evening meals, The Boot Inn is within walking distance along a pleasant riverside path. They serve excellent food but are closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday for dinner. The Bell Inn at Wylye is another highly recommended option nearby, known for brewing its own beer.

How far are you from London?

Mill House is 90 miles from central London, approximately one and a half hours by car, making us perfectly positioned for exploring Wiltshire’s attractions or breaking up longer journeys.

Do you have access to public transport?

Yes, there’s an hourly bus service running between Salisbury and Devizes that stops right outside our gate, making public transport very convenient for our guests. The nearest major railway station is in Salisbury, approximately 15 minutes away.

Do you have ground floor rooms?

No, all our bedrooms are located upstairs.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in is between 3:30 PM and 7:00 PM, or by prior arrangement. Please let us know your approximate arrival time when booking.

Is WiFi available?

Yes, the whole house is hard-wired for WiFi, providing reliable internet access throughout your stay.

How many rooms do you have in total?

We have four double rooms in total, one of which also has a single bed that can be used as a twin room if preferred.

Can you store luggage before/after check-in/out?

Yes, we’re happy to store luggage or even cars for later collection by arrangement.

Are you open all year round?
